COVID in the House: What My Family is Taking

FullSizeRender%2B3.jpg

I recently shared that COVID-19 hit our house last week when my 13-year old daughter Madeline woke up with no sense of smell or taste, and even scarier, difficulty breathing. Fast-forward 72 hours, and her COVID diagnosis was confirmed by a positive test result.

The good news is that she’s felt “normal” for about 6 days now, and she appears to have a very light case. I use “have” because she is only 11 days out from the onset of symptoms, and she has an underlying autoimmune condition. I am still watching her closely, but I am hopeful she’ll continue to feel good. The other good news is that the rest of the house has stayed healthy, symptom-free, and COVID negative.

Yesterday, I shared the supplements that we were taking — both pre-COVID and once we had a positive COVID case in the house. Most of these we started taking a little over a year ago (way before COVID), partly to boost immune function after Madeline’s autoimmune diagnosis and partly because I couldn’t ignore some research I’d read. I can’t help but think that what we started then may have helped Madeline have an easy bout and helped Griffin and me stay healthy.

The interest and response to that video have been huge, so I am sharing a list of those supplements below. Products are hyperlinked, but you’ll also find everything I mention on my SHOP page as well.

NOTE:  This list is what my family is taking and should not be interpreted as recommendations for every individual or used in place of seeking medical advice or dietary counseling.
