Dairy-Free Healthy Mocha Frappe

Healthy Mocha Frappe // CarolynWilliamsRD.com

I haven't met a single person who doesn't like to splurge occasionally on a Frappuccino from their favorite coffee shop. It's hard to resist that decadent chocolate-coffee combo - especially when blended with ice and milk.  But too many of these mocha frappes can not only break the bank, but also your belt!

Good news, these delicious frappes are really easy to blend at home and just sweet enough to meet your sweet-tooth craving without excessive added sugars and unknown ingredients usually present in artificial syrups. Extra bonus - it calls for almond milk so it's dairy-free if you choose a dairy-free chocolate syrup!

Note that you do need to have extremely strong coffee - chilled espresso or cold brew concentrate. Anything else won't provide the coffee flavor you desire and will leave your frappe tasting bleh. You can get creative with it - omitting chocolate if you're into just plain Frappuccinos or adding caramel if you want a chocolate/caramel combo. Don't worry - you'll find yourself making it so often that you'll have opportunities to play around with flavor combos!
