CBD and Its Future in the Food and Drink Industry

CBD has been all the rage lately, especially toward the end of 2019 when sales were expected to exceed $1 billion. We’ve all seen CBD taking the beauty and supplement industries by storm, boasting healing and calming properties that can ease pain and anxiety. The substance is can be found in capsule form and infused in lotions and oils, just to name a few. With this rapid increase in popularity, it’s no surprise that the food and drink industries could soon be jumping on board and incorporating CBD in their products. While a few smaller companies have already began using CBD, others may take a little more time due to the FDA not having a defined process or clear guidelines on how to incorporate it. However, with it’s rapid growth, I would not be surprised if you see CBD becoming more and more prominent in grocery stores.
