I try to keep my added sugar intake to a minimum, but because of sugar’s prevalence in our food supply today, totally cutting out sugar is hard. Minimizing added sugar intake is important though because of the positive effects this can have on your health — effects that go way beyond saving a few calories!

In fact, the effects seen from minimizing sugar go way beyond weight loss. Cutting out sugar can help to normalize blood sugar which has a direct effect on cravings and reduces risk of diabetes. Minimizing intake can also impact how quickly we age, how strong our immune system is, energy levels, depression and mental health, and heart health.
