A Skinny Holiday Cocktail

Last week, I attended a very small dinner at my friend Jennifer Hayes’ house.  While it’s easy to focus on 2020’s negatives, the year has also brought lots of good things — one of those being the launch of Jennifer Hayes’ virtual fitness program SWEAT by Jenny Rob (@SWEATbyJennyRob).

I am so proud of what she’s done and the community she’s built for some many women. I’m also grateful that her business venture has given me the opportunity to connect with others and expand my network being part of the SWEAT team.

Jennifer also introduced me to a new skinny holiday cocktail last week. It’s light, low-calorie, and festive for the holidays, so I couldn’t wait to share it.  Check out the SWEAT Team and the recipe below!

Poinsettia Cocktail

  • 1/3      cup light cranberry juice

  • 1          Tbsp orange liqueur (such as Triple Sec or Cointreau)

  • 1/3      cup champagne

Combine cranberry juice and liqueur in a champagne flute or in a cocktail glass with ice. Top with champagne. Garnish with cranberries and rosemary sprig if desired. Makes 1 cocktail.

*For a non-alcoholic version, substitute diet ginger ale for the champagne.

Making it For a Crowd?

Combine 3 cups light cranberry juice and 2/3 cup liqueur in a large pitcher, and chill. When ready to serve, add a bottle of champagne to pitcher.
